Smart Homes

Image
Did you know?                 Nikola Telsa was the one who started it all for us. He made huge contributing factors to wireless transmission. His forward thinking is the foundation for the technology that gives us our smart homes. Smart homes have been around for ages. You probably have a semi smart home now. Anything technology that makes our lives even a little bit easier in our homes is smart. Some examples are the garage door opener, sprinkler system. Plug in timers for lights, or other appliances for when your away. So we have had “smart” homes for a while. What is a smart home? In today’s world of technology everything can pretty much be ran from your phone, to include your home. So with all this technology what makes your home a smart home? Well to start, according to Cnet.com : “A home that is equipped with products or tools that aid in controlling functions such as temperature, lighting, se...

CBTV Broker walk thru 29 Aug 2017 part 1

Yesterday was a broker walk through for homes that Realtors with Coldwell Banker Tomlinson have listed. The purpose of the walk through is to get other Realtors' comments and thoughts on the show and curb appeal and the price. The listing Realtor gets the comments and it helps the Realtor get the word out to other Realtors. Usually a Realtor who does the walk through knows a client that the home would be perfect for or at least be interested in the home. For this week's walk through we toured 4 homes and they all were nice. Two of them really caught my attention and I wanted to share them with you. This will be a 2 part blog this week. The first home is at 18205 E 11th Ave, Greenacres, WA. It is nestled in a quite neighborhood. The square footage is approx. 2808 sq ft with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms. Two bedrooms are upstairs with a bathroom. The master is on the main floor with a large walk in closet. The final bedroom is downstairs in the basement with a nice e...

New Construction

Image
Today is a new day and started off great for I woke up breathing and on the correct side of the dirt. It only got better when after a meeting I had to potential be one of two listing agents for a new construction development that will begin here in the next 2 months. The builder is finalizing their part before they can start building which will get to the next part where myself and another agent can start advertising the properties. Here are some photos of the potential views that one would have from their property. I will add more pictures as we progress forward. I am excited for this opportunity. The views from the properties are beautiful especially the further up the hill you get. The builder is planning to have a couple plans to choose from and finishing touches the buyer can select from. Also planning to have a custom option to select from. It is really exciting to have the opportunity to be part of something like this from the ground up. Stay tuned for more updates...

Double Whammy!!

So here I sit 9 months after retiring from the Army and I find myself in a whole new world than what I grow up in as a military brat and 23+ years of my own military career. I found myself wanting and needing something new, so I jumped into the real estate industry in an area and a market I knew every little about. I also found out that you must learn to swim very quickly in an industry that moves even faster. Luckily I join a good firm that is all about giving new and veteran Realtors the help, training and advice needed to be successful. So what is the Double whammy? Well in my case, I am new to the area, and to the industry. Though, that doesn't seem to keep me from working with clients and getting out there. A challenge for sure, and I don't run from a challenge. Since I started a little over 3 months ago, I have 2 properties that are heading in the right direction to close and working with other clients to help them find their home. It has been a change ...
